Schools
We are working with the schools in
Yelapa to provide educational materials
and have donated roofing for an outside
eating area at the secondary school. We
are looking forward to helping with other
opportunities in the local schools.


We support the work of the Pamela, the
local veterinarian, in her spay/nueter
clinic.

At El Jardin there are
always opportunities to
volunteer your services,
whether it's working in the
gardens or building forest.

Projects
El Jardin
Bamboo Forest
There is a marvelous stand of bamboo in
the back of the property.   We are
committed to restoring the stand to a
healthy, productive grove of diverse
bamboo.

Coffee trees
Fourteen Arabian Coffee trees were
planted this year.  The idea is to  trellis the
hillside to minimize the damage from
erosion

Rain water Collection

Because Yelapa is subject to a very wet
season and a very dry season, we are
committed to collecting rain during the wet
season to supplement our irrigation during
the dry season as to not over tax the
existing underground streams and rivers.

Composting toilets

By the addition of composting toilets we are
 lowering the amount of waste in the septic
tank.

10 high school students from the US who worked
at de la imagination on various work projects
